Mark & the Spies is a four-piece NEDERBEAT group from The Netherlands and started out as an instrumental rock’n’roll/surf band at the beginning of this century. They had a few vocal songs, but mostly it was Link Wray kinda stuff. After some gigs they broke up, reunited and broke up again. After that Mark and Arjan started writing their own songs. They found themselves a new drummer (Gerrit) and things started to roll. Recently the guys found a fourth member. His name is Jelle and he plays a Hohnet Pianet T electric piano and saxophone. This e.p. is their first official release and it contains two of their earliest original songs: ’Everything I Need’ and ’It’s True (I Need You)’. The other songs are: ’Another Chance’ which was written especialy for this release and a Simon & Garfunkel song called ’We’ve Got The Groovy Thing Going’.
