Disconvenience started playing in Stockholm, Sweden, early 2003. Inspiration was drawn from house gods Joy Division, Ramones, Social Distortion, X-Ray-Spex, Partisans, Sex Pistols, Damned, and all those other great 70s/80s punk acts. This is their debut vinyl single, but they have also some tracks in a compilation with lots of great up and coming punk bands from Sweden and Norway and a couple of sold out cdr. This ultra-cool ep (500 hand numbered copies ONLY) include 5 great new songs. Emma & Nina will be soon the new queens of punk-rock and Rickard guitar sounds like the best of the bands of the original punk era. As the SLF once says: GO FOR IT !

Four ultra-cool looking gals with the perfect look and a sound in between classic garage rock and Australian powerpop is definitely not a common thing these days. Most of the garage fans out there will recall bands from the 80’s and 90’s (Pandoras, Brood, Girl Bombs...). DollSquad move from there onto a very personal mix of influences that will definitely please both 60’s garage heads and 70’s powerpop fans (also reminiscent of some cool plain and simple pop acts like The Bangles, Go-Gos, and even early Pretenders at times). What really stands out is the girls’ songwriting that never falls in expected territory. Their exciting sound and image will create a mind-blowing experience. Gabriel and Luke were brought together in London N7, via Buenas Aires and Grimsby. Fed up with everything on the radio and a life on the breadline, they found Eel Pie Islander Chris and set off to play songs the likes of which had not been heard since the rug-cutting glory days of Syd Barrett, Los Gatos Salvajes, The Kinks, Thee Milkshakes and many more. With a simple drums, bass and guitar setup they wish to play to anyone who will lend an ear, that they too may vibrate in the mind of the one true God whose name is love; grooving as one to the music of yore. They played their 1st gig in March with The Hoosiers, followed by supports slots with The Strawbs, The Downliners Sect and The View - at which point they were transported back to 1965 - just like they had allways dreamed! "Turn It Down" is the first single off The ’tones new album "Up In My Head"
